What decided it

The limited single storey height with shallow roof pitch sloping away from the boundary, combined with the large east-facing glazing of the neighbouring property, meant the extension would not cause significant loss of sunlight, daylight, or create an unacceptable overbearing effect on the neighbouring occupiers.
