What decided it
The proposal, being appropriately scaled, formed and detailed, would not harm the setting or significance of the listed building or Conservation Area, and would comply with National Park purposes and relevant development plan policies.
The benefits of appropriate residential development within the settlement boundary, respecting local vernacular and heritage character, outweighed any concerns about the loss of the last remaining open field adjacent to the listed building, given the site's location within the now built-up village and the limited sensitivity of the heritage assets to this particular development.
