79 Winchester Road, REDCAR, TS10 3QW
a wooden car port frame (4 legs & roof and a clear roof) over my driveway situated at the front of my property (H 7.5ft W 10ft L 13.75ft). The main purpose of the structure is to keep guano from damaging cars parked on driveway - previous vehicles have been damaged causing extensive repair costs

Main issues, as the Inspector framed them
- The effect of the car port on the character and appearance of the area
What decided it
The car port's pronounced and entirely unsatisfactory effect upon the Winchester Road street scene, projecting well in front of the established building line with no comparable structures in the street, resulting in conflict with Policy SD4.
