What decided it

The unacceptable impact on neighbours' living conditions in terms of outlook and privacy, with back-to-back separations of only 5-6m, significantly and demonstrably outweighed the benefit of three new homes despite the Council's housing land supply shortfall.

The benefit of three new homes and housing delivery, given the Council's inability to demonstrate a five-year housing land supply, was outweighed by the unacceptable harm to neighbours' living conditions in terms of outlook and privacy.
